Tulsa Bail Bondman thoughts about Continuing Education School 2014

New rules for Bondsmen In Tulsa and Oklahoma

As i sit in class for the 2014 continuing education class for our Oklahoma bail bond license, I can tell that some speakers came prepared, while other did not.  Why would people make laws that they themselves cannot define.  Its a shame that we have laws placed down by people who in fact, never been involved in our industry.  I also heard about a bail bondsman, Fred Green who was arrested and charged with numerous charges while he was just doing his duty as a bondsman.  This is sad and it really makes me think that our rights as a bondsman are constantly being changed and not for the better.

Changing Laws do not make it any easier for a Bondsman

When i first started my career as a bail bondsman for the state of Oklahoma things were different in a better way.  The schools were very informative to all bondsmen in Oklahoma, this yer I don't believe one question was answered, about the Bounty Hunter Bill and Bail bondsmen Laws.  Actually I was quite confused at times about what they were trying to explain.  Its like some of these laws were not thought out very well when they were planned.  I agree with the Bounty Hunters that do things their way and think they are above the law.  By taking it out on the bail bondsmen does not fix this at all.

This does not fix things and hurt innocent Bondsmen in Oklahoma

This law about being a licensed bondsman for over a year in order to help any other bondsman is kinda messed up.  They have a deadline in July for this to be signed and it wont go into effect until February 2015, but from what i gathered was, if you haven't been a bail bondsman in the state of Oklahoma by at least one year on July, then you cannot help fellow bondsmen on Recoveries of defendant.  Basically if you after this deadline all future bondsmen will never be able to do this.  I guess certain recovery agents thought it would be easier to get a bail bonds license, than go get C.L.E.E.T certified, then sign up with sureties but as bounty hunter because they would be a bondsman that works for the same surety.  This I don't agree with, Most inexperienced  need to go out will trained bondsmen that are willing to help them get experienced.  In our Industry, nothing is black and white, and every situation could be completely different the what a law maker thinks.   Please visit or site at
